Gold’N Krisp is a fourth-generation family business built on tradition, hard work, and a lot of pride. For more than 65 years, our family has been kettle cooking chips in small batches, staying true to the same recipe and the same hands-on process that made our chips a local favorite. What started as a small operation in Massillon has grown into a regional staple loved throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond, but the way we make our chips hasn’t changed.

Gold’N Krisp is more than a name on a shelf, it’s the people behind it. On any given day, you’ll find our team on the production floor, cooking and checking batches, loading deliveries, or helping customers who stop in for a fresh bag.
We take pride in knowing that every bag of Gold’N Krisp ends up on someone’s table, in someone’s lunchbox, or shared at a gathering.

Our Story
Gold’N Krisp began in Massillon, Ohio, over 65 years ago when Odell and Betty Gainey first started cooking kettle chips using a special recipe. In the years that followed, Odell ran the business for decades, building a reputation for honest work, great chips, and a commitment to the community that surrounded them.
What started as a small local operation quickly grew into a regional favorite known for its signature crunch and unmistakable flavor. Over the years, each generation of our family has carried the tradition forward, staying true to the process we were taught and to the belief that great chips bring people together.
Today, Gold’N Krisp is run by the fourth generation of our family, still rooted in Massillon, still committed to quality, and still making chips the old-fashioned way.
