Our Story
Gold’N Krisp began over 65 years ago in Massillon, Ohio, when Odell and Betty Gainey first started cooking kettle chips using a special family recipe. Odell ran the business for decades, earning a reputation for honest work, great chips, and a deep commitment to the community around him.
What began as a small local operation grew into a regional favorite known for its signature crunch and unmistakable flavor. With each generation, our family carried the tradition forward, learning the process firsthand and honoring the belief that great chips bring people together.
Today, the fourth generation continues that legacy, carrying forward the same standards, pride, and responsibility that started it all.

Gold’N Krisp has always been part of everyday life in Massillon and the surrounding counties. Gold’N Krisp was honored by the City of Massillon with a Certificate of Excellence celebrating 65 years in business — a milestone we’re incredibly proud of.
